Mwendabai Kalaluka
Mwendabai Kalaluka, BAcc, MBA, FCCA, is a highly accomplished management consultant, certified business advisor, chartered accountant, tax practitioner, and business rescue practitioner with more than 24 years of professional experience.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and a full member of several leading professional bodies, including the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa, the Institute of Risk Management South Africa, and the Institute of Business Advisors Southern Africa.He is also a General Tax Practitioner (SA) with the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners.
Mwendabai’s academic achievements include a Bachelor of Accountancy (Copperbelt University, Zambia) and an MBA (University of KwaZulu-Natal, Cum Laude). He is also a certified Sage Pastel trainer, as well as a qualified assessor and moderator registered with ETDP Seta and Fasset.
His career began at Grant Thornton in Audit and Business Services, followed by senior roles at Deloitte Corporate Recovery and Finance and Shell South Africa Energy. In 2008, he joined First National Bank’s Strategy Consulting Division, before establishing his own consulting practice in 2009. Since 2010, he has served as Managing Director of IABC Group (Pty) Ltd and its related consulting businesses.
Alongside his consulting work, Mwendabai has contributed to academia as a lecturer in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting at Midrand Graduate Institute and IIE Varsity College (School of Law, Sandton).
His expertise spans accounting, financial management, reporting, business information systems, project management, and general management consulting. Renowned for his mastery of Sage products, he provides implementation, support, and training across the full suite.
